Nelson Sobral's fighting roots are a blend of Chinese Boxing, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu along with a healthy dose of "on-site' training, working the bar
and club scene around Toronto. He has an aggressive "no-holds barred" style
which, although seemingly reckless at times, has served him well and is always
entertaining.
He entered his first MMA fight on March 2006 and won the 8-man
middleweight tournament for Dan Severn's Danger Zone and has started competing
under CAMTAO Muay Thai.
He has had the privilege of great teachers and training
partners such as Edward DeNobrega, Bill Fraser, Rob Marchand, Vincent Fong, &
Orin Bristol along with everyone at DSCB & Kombat!
